Worrying Is Experiencing Failure In AdvanceJan 21, 2021
We all have things we worry about.
Some more than others.
This might be a public speaking gig, a first date or a tough conversation that keeps getting put off.
However, It's up to you how these seasons of worry are filtered.
For example —>
A growth mindset visualises success...
Imagining yourself flying out of the event to rapturous applause, scheduling a second date or reaching an amicable solution in moments of conflict.
On the flip side, it's much easier to fall into the trap of...
No-one liking you. Being stood up and being cast aside as a friend.
It's important to remember that it's not necessarily the scenarios themselves that cause anxiety, it is the period of time leading up to the scenario.
... and sometimes, a scenario doesn't even exist in the first place.
So really, worrying about something, whether it exists or not is experiencing failure in advance.
The VERY failure you're worried about experiencing.
So next time you're faced with a circumstance that sends a signal of worry to your brain.
Tell it to go away.
And instead, commit energy to experiencing success in advance.
